Word on the street is that a zombie movie may be coming to Georgia. So far no big names have been associated with this project, meaning that it may be a low-budget feature (is there any other kind when it comes to zombie movies?). Stay tuned!
Driving North to The Joneses
It’s a poorly kept secret that the feature film “The Joneses” (starring Demi Moore and David Duchovny) is filming in the northern outskirts of Alpharetta, a city over 25 miles north of Atlanta. Road Trip Sequel
Paramount will be shooting a sequel to the risque college romp “Road Trip” in Atlanta this fall. No word on whether actor Tom Green or any of the other cast members will be reprising their roles. Expectations are that the production will return to some of the same college campuses used in the original film, shot in the Atlanta area in 1999.

Warner Brothers Shoots Preachers Kid
The Warner Brothers feature film “The Preacher’s Kid” is currently in principal photography in the Atlanta area. Preacher’s Kid follows the story of a prodigal daughter who defies her minister father to pursue her dream of a career as a traveling Gospel singer. Locations are said to include the historic Fox Theater and the Atlanta Civic Center.
Drop Dead Diva Offices Open
It appears that Georgia’s tax incentives are beginning to work, as the offices for a Sony TV pilot entitled “Drop Dead Diva” opened in Atlanta earlier this week. The show, slated to air on the Lifetime network, is said to be based on the reincarnation of an aspiring actress into the body of an overweight attorney.
