The Warner Brothers film “The Blind Side“, based on the non-fiction book “The Blind Side : The Evolution of a Game” by Michael Lewis, is set to open on screens nationwide beginning November 20th.
Blind Side joins the ranks of other popular football-themed motion pictures shot in Georgia, including: “The Longest Yard”, “Remember the Titans”, and “We Are Marshall”. Popular producer/director/actor Sandra Bullock portrays Leigh Ann Tuohy, a woman who stepped outside of her comfort zone to take in Michael Oher (played by Quinton Aaron), a homeless teenager from the ghettos of Memphis. Award winning country singer Tim McGraw appears as Bullock’s husband, and Kathy Bates plays Miss Sue.
Bloggers at the LA Times are already suggesting that Sandra Bullock may be in the running for an Oscar at the next Academy Awards, so be sure to take a look at The Blind Side when it arrives at your theater!
