Film-GA License Tags Are Back!

by on Nov.19, 2009, under License Plates

They’re Back!!! Due to popular demand we have revived the Film-GA license tags and will begin bringing them to a set near you as early as next week. This newest batch of tags have been printed with UV resistant inks, covered with one of the strongest laminates available and mounted to tough aluminum license tag blanks. The only thing that hasn’t changed is the price, these little guys are still just $20 per tag and for the time being the only place you can buy them is on the set of a film or television production in Georgia.

(note that we’ll be having a one-time-only “half-price buy-back” program for anyone with a vintage Film-GA license plate that needs replacing… be ready to surrender your old tag at the time of purchase. Certain defective tags from past printings will be replaced at no cost.)

I want to get a license plate, and have asked several times, but as of yet have not been able to get one….
Can you tell me how I can get one to help represent GA filming?

Im in the same boat as Bob. Would love to represent GA Filmmakers, however as I read they are only available on tv and film sets… Ive not come across these yet so Im assuming they are only on Union only sets. Can someone confirm this?

I am a Freelance Assistant Director and Production Specialist and do not feel I should be deprived of being able to a Tag. If anyone works out how to get your hands on one please email me: [email protected]

The plates have been on hiatus but may begin traveling to sets again and perhaps be made available online via the original designer. Plans are also afoot to turn the plates into “the real deal”. Look for a poster about the plates at The Next Cool Event’s VIP Gala on Saturday night 🙂
